Our elite black corrosion protection coating system combines the best-in-class black plating layers with a zinc flake topcoat. The alkaline zinc nickel layer of Zinni AL 450 passivated with Unifix Ni 3-30L is the fundament for outstanding corrosion protection. The intermediate layer of Tridur Finish 300 and the topcoat Techdip Black WL2 increase corrosion resistance and provide additional properties such as UV- and chemical resistance as well as barrier protection that decelerates the white rust formation. The layer stack results in a surface of deep black appearance that is outstandingly protected from corrosion by more than 1,000 h without base material corrosion. Our lubricated topcoat Techdip Black WL2 provides controlled coefficient of friction properties and fulfills the requirements according GMW 16730.

- This combined solution exhibits excellent cathodic corrosion protection and possesses reactive sealing properties that achieve the highest level of corrosion protection.
- The Zinni AL 450 alkaline zinc nickel electrolyte optimized for barrel plating shows a homogenous Ni incorporation of 12 – 15% and excellent current efficiency.
- Unifix Ni 3-30L, the fluoride- and cobalt-free black passivate for zinc nickel coatings, has a wide working window, exhibits high red corrosion resistance and excellent cyclic corrosion performance.
- Tridur Finish 300 is a Cr(III)-based post-dip or intermediate layer that enhances black appearance and scratch resistance and offers additional corrosion protection.
- Techdip Black WL2, a water based organic topcoat, provides excellent barrier protection, UV-resistance, and an integrated lubricant for controlled friction properties.
